Spring is here…Time to get DIRTY!
There are any number of ways to get dirty. Well, maybe not what you think, we’re talking about getting back in the mountains on a dual sport motorcycle rental, exploring little traveled fire roads through some of the most beautiful National Forests around in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.
The arrival of Spring in the Smokys means two wheeling friendly weather is here and temperatures can be expected to be very favorable with highs in the 70’s and even low 80’s. The Gatlinburg, TN area vacation crowds have not yet arrived, so it’s a fabulous time rent a motorcycle and cruise through the scenery. Great Smoky Mountains National Park reports nearly all gravel roads are open, which is great news for dual sport and adventure touring motorcycle enthusiasts. The only notable exception is Heintooga, Balsam Mtn. road which is scheduled to open May 11th.
