When exhibiting at trade shows, first impressions are everything. The look and design of your booth is important and it’s important to choose a booth vendor that understands your needs, provides a variety of quality products, and has knowledge and experience. Below, we’ve outlined five criteria, courtesy of Kristin Hovde of Trade Show News Network, to keep in mind when you go to purchase or rent your next trade show booth.
Speed of Response: If a vendor is slow to respond to questions, comments, or concerns, that should raise a red flag. It’s important to have a vendor you can count on, especially if you have a deadline to meet.
Location the Booths are Manufactured: Booths made outside of the U.S. in places like China may be less expensive but might not be as durable as an American-made product. In addition to higher-quality materials, you’re also likely to save time and money on shipping.
Variety of Products Available: Whether you are renting or buying a booth, a variety of options is important so choose a vendor that offers a lot of different sizes, shapes, and designs of booths.
Product Knowledge: If you’re new to trade shows, you might have some questions about your booth. Be sure to select a company that can answer all of your questions and give you as much information as you need to help you make an informed decision.
Schedule a Time to Meet with the Vendor: Get to know the people who are designing and building your booth by scheduling a time to meet them face-to-face or talk to them over Skype. E-mail and calls are great, but being able to see the person you are working with and scheduling a meeting should “put your mind at ease.”
