Well, the New Year is here and that means experts across most industries are posting their lists of trends and projections for 2015. - Bridesmaids Are Off The Hook – There’s An App for That!: The days of asking your bridesmaids to help “tie bows on wedding favors” and do other tasks are over. Instead, many couples are using apps such as TaskRabbit to “take on small to-dos,” TouristEye to “help plan a honeymoon itinerary,” and The Know Wedding Planner app to track down the right wedding professionals. Wedding guests can also get in the smartphone fun by checking registries and buying gifts via their phone and using apps such as Lyft and Uber to find a ride home after the reception.
- Foodie Installations: The Knot expects food and drink to take “center stage this year in an outrageous way.” In 2015, look for hanging salad stations, doughnut dessert walls, and beer-garden-inspired stations, complete with “beer steins made of ice.”
