Want to know what it’s like to live like the world’s number one golfer? Here’s your chance. Once owned by Rory McIlroy, the Robinhall House has been put up for rent by property developer Gary McCausland who bought the home in October 2013 when the hottest name in golf moved to Florida. McCausland, who originally purchased the 14-acre gated luxury pad as a private retreat for himself and his family, has decided to make the property exclusively available after receiving hundreds of inquiries from all over the world from people wanted to visit the facility.
Robinhall House, which is located in Northern Ireland, will be available for just under $21,000 per week. Included amenities include exclusive access to the home’s golf course, lessons from resident professional golfer Robin Daly, helicopter rides and chauffeur service, a private fly-fishing lake stocked with over 1,000 brown and dollaghan trout, a cinema room with seating for 18 viewers, and a tennis court. The home, which has already been visited by several celebrities, also comes with an in-house chef and outdoor hot tub with Champagne on tap.
However, of the aforementioned, the biggest draw will likely be the nine-hole golf course which was designed to “replicate virtually every shot required to win each of the four golf Majors.” For $160, those more interested in putting than splashing around in the private lake can spend two hours of practice time on the course. McCausland says the income generated from rental fees will allow him to keep the course and practice areas “to the world-class standards that Rory originally created.” Additionally, McCausland says Northern Ireland’s newest tourist attraction will also support the Rory McIlory Foundation, a children’s charity.
