Volvo Rents is now BlueLine Rental. Platinum Equity, a Los Angeles-based operations-focused private equity firm, recently acquired the business from Volvo on January 2014. In a recent press release detailing the transfer of operations, President of BlueLine Rental, Scott Hall, touched on the recent acquisition.

BlueLine Rental will continue the service of Volvo Rents by providing small- to medium-sized construction rental equipment nationwide. BlueLine Rental provides construction rental equipment to a broad spectrum of customers across various industries, including construction, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, power, and metals and minerals.
The company has continued to expand their compact equipment line, with focus on skid steer, backhoe, loader, compact excavator and compaction equipment rentals. Their rental centers are committed to serving customers of the industrial, commercial, and homeowner applications.
