One thing’s for sure: This isn’t your grandparents’ Brooklyn. After several decades living in the shadows of Manhattan’s skyscrapers, Brooklyn is booming. Young professionals, young families, and young companies are flooding into the borough to live, work, and watch the Nets in the new Barclays Center. As more people move into the area, the demand for rental space continues to increase and developers are working to keep up.

Over the course of the New Year, several new developments are expected to be complete including Brooklyn’s new tallest tower at 388 Bridge Street. Set to be ready for occupancy by February 2014, the 53-story building boasts 234 units which hit the market just this past week. Rents for the building range from $2,540 per month for a lower level studio to $6,290 per month for a two-bedroom unit on a higher floor, according to a recent story by Curbed.

The rentals, which are located on floors 7-31, vary in size from 490-square-feet to 1,166-square-feet. The units feature “9-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, 3-inch white oak plank floors, and kitchens with stainless steel GE appliances, quartz countertops, and grey cabinetry.” In addition, all residents of the building have access to the rooftop terrace complete with grilling areas and a nearly 3,000 square-foot space on the fifth floor which has a lounge, party room, screening room, and fitness center.

Other building amenities include a doorman, 24-hour concierge, pet spa, bike storage, a laundry facility, attended on-site parking, and an illuminated rooftop crown. According to Curbed, floors 1-4 will feature retail space and a two-story Manhattan Athletic Club.
