Most of us are familiar with Enterprise’s slogan, “We’ll pick you up.” Apparently, that means just about anywhere. According to a recent article on Skift, the car rental giant is extending its reach across Europe, announcing new franchisee appointments in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. It has been reported that the “new partnerships bring the company one step closer to realizing its goal of offering the Enterprise brand to all car hire customers regardless of where they are travelling in the world.”

Enterprise Teams Up with General Lease, AIL

As part of its planned program of expansion, Enterprise has tabbed two best-in-class businesses to support the network growth: General Lease and Auto-Interleasing. General Lease, a part of Groep Boden, is the market leader for replacement vehicles in Belgium with 40 branches and has been preparing to extend its presence to airports and city centres to serve both domestic and international travelers. Auto-Interleasing (AIL), owned by the Imwinkelried family for over 80 years, is one of the largest fleet management and dealership businesses in Switzerland, a key destination for business travel.

A Continuous Network

According to the company’s vice president of global franchising, the partnerships with General Lease and AIL, two companies with well-established reputations for quality service, will enable Enterprise to “provide a continuous network of branches that stretches across the heart of Europe.”

Part of St. Louis-based Enterprise Holdings, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the largest car rental service provider in the world with over 8,100 offices around the globe. Recently, the company has “rapidly expanded its branded operations at airports and transport hubs” internationally. For more information on the company, visit www.enterprise.com.
