If the bright lights, live shows, and casinos that never close aren’t enough of a thrill, visitors to Las Vegas can now get a rush of a different kind thanks to the folks at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Earlier this month, the company announced it will launch a pilot program to rent Harley Davidson motorcycles to customers in Sin City, this according to an article on the Time Magazine website. This program will mark the first time a U.S. car rental company has ventured into the motorcycle market.
In all, customers will have the option of renting five different Harley Davidson models including the Street Glide, Road Glide Custom, Electra Glide Custom, Electra Glide Ultra Limited, and Road Glide Ultra. Two additional models – the Heritage Softail Classic and Fat Boy Lo – will be available by the end of 2013.
Why Las Vegas? Enterprise is hoping to capitalize on the fact that many tourists to the city often take trips to nearby attractions such as the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. Those scenic rides across Nevada, however, won’t necessarily be cheap. Harley Davidson rentals through Enterprise will run between $120 and $160 a day and include a helmet which is required by state law. All riders must have a motorcycle driver’s license.
