Vertical Digging System Excels at Paris Show

Wacker Neuson won the EDGE Innovation Award in “Construction and Maintenance of Open Spaces” for the Vertical Digging System (VDS) at French trade show Salonvert this year. The show was held in September at Saint-Chéron near Paris. The trade show, which is growing in popularity because of the opportunity for visitors to test the machines on display, also gave Wacker Neuson the opportunity to show more of its light and compact equipment.
The award-winning VDS boasts a powerful set of operating features for excavators and mini excavators. Operators can tilt the excavator superstructure by fifteen degrees at the push of a button, and can operate on slopes of up to twenty-seven degrees. Excavator rentals equipped with VDS can dig with precision in a vertical position, which enhances efficiency and saves materials. This makes operation more stable, increasing both safety and comfort for the operator. The VDS system is available in seven excavators, with weights ranging from 1.7 to 5 tons.
