Electric Scooters (Transportable)

Transportable scooters are collapsible and break into several pieces for easy storage in the trunks of most vehicles. Generally, these scooters will have removable seats, batteries and rear drive assemblies (the rear wheels and battery compartment). Some models also have a base that can be further disassembled.

These scooters can be disassembled and loaded into the trunk of a medium-to-full-sized car (with the heaviest piece weighing between 40 and 60 lbs).

The maximum weight capacity for these vehicles are between 250lbs and 300lbs.

What Is a Mobility Scooter?

Mobility scooters (also known as an ECV or electric convenience vehicle), are battery-powered devices that are used by riders who have difficulty walking over medium to long distances. These scooters are powered by quiet-running electric motors and come in three or four wheel models. They are steered using handlebars that are attached to a vertical arm known as a tiller. Scooters are great for outdoor use and can be driven easily over a variety of surfaces. Scooters are also offered in portable models that can be easily stowed in the trunk of your car.
