Camping-Cookware Description

Philadelphia Backpacking Cookware Rental-Cooking Pots For Rent-Camping Equipment Rentals Pennsylvania

Cooking Gear rentals in Philadelphia, PA. We have a couple of different options for cooking. One is a combo set of 1 and 1.5 liter (a bit over 4 and 6 cups) pots, weighing in together at only 1 pound. LowerGear offers backpacking accessories and camping supplies that are required for a comfortable and successful camping. There is more to a camping trip than just backpack, tents, sleeping bags and such. They offer the entire spectrum of gear you need for a pleasant backpacking or camping trip in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, Reading, Scranton, Bethlehem, Lancaster, Levittown, Harrisburg, & all of Pennsylvania

For whatever reason, things taste better on the trail. A simple cheese sandwich, something I wouldn’t touch at home, can taste out-of-this world a couple of days into a long hike. And many of the premixed food packages that are now available to backpackers are actually quite tasty. But with the right backpacking stove and cookware, just about anything from the grocery shelves can be served up. These cooking pots will also work for our larger car-camping stove, but of course if you're car camping you might be able to just raid your own kitchen for what you need

We have a couple of different options for cooking. One is a combo set of 1 and 1.5 liter (a bit over 4 and 6 cups) pots, weighing in together at only 1 pound. These pots are almost nonstick, but may require some scrubbing to clean. But just like your Mom used to tell you, don’t use metal utensils on the non-stick surface – use heat-resistant plastic instead to avoid scratching the surface. Set includes a handy pot holder to avoid that burning sensation from 200 degree metal, and one lid that fits both pots.

The other option is a stainless steel pot – we have various sizes that hold 2-4 cups each – that are tougher than the combo set, but probably a bit more convenient for storing, heating and cleaning. They are a few ounces heavier. Neither type is really designed for cooking over a campfire flame for extended periods - it can take forever to clean after such a use. Since they're not into the pot scrubbing business, make sure you clean up before sending back to them.

You can specify any preference when you select your rental period; otherwise we will send what is most readily available at the time.

This is the cookware to carry if cooking for more than one or two, or if you plan on doing anything more complicated than boiling water. If all you want is something to boil water in for premixed packages and maybe have some tea or coffee, consider the titanium kettle instead – but don’t cook directly in the kettle as it is definitely not non-stick. We'll do our best to ship the item that you requested, however, sometimes we may ship you an equivalent item if we are currently out of stock on the item you specified.
