Developed by German company MS Watersports GmbH , the Jetlev (an abbreviation of Jet Levitation) allows the user to experience personal flight in a way that leaves renters exhilarated and delighted. Designed for use over water, the recreational jet pack is propelled by two powerful streams of H2O, sending the wearer three stories into the air at 22 mph. The Jetlev is designed for safety, stability, ease-of-use, and features precise and effortless flight controls. Promoters claim that newbies can learn to take off, fly, turn, hover and land in as little as six minutes on the water.

The device is tethered by a hose to a small trailing craft about the size of a jet ski that pumps in the water which keeps the user aloft. Inventor Ray Li has been tweaking and reworking the concept since 2003. Safety and ease of use were his primary concerns and the Jetlev earns high marks for both. A fall from its maximum height is akin to jumping off a diving board.

The Jetlev jet pack story has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, Fox News, Sports Illustrated, Discovery Channel, Popular Science, and is the subject of several YouTube videos.

Baby Gear Rental and operate the business from our home in the suburbs of Los Angeles.  We are both originally from New York and made the move to the West Coast before our children were born.  We ended up staying and having a family here but left lots of family and friends behind on the East Coast.  So we’ve done a fair amount of traveling across the country.  It’s from these travels that we refined our ideas for L.A.
