Equipment Description

Albuquerque Crane Rentals-Link Belt Lattice Truck Crane For Rent-New Mexico Crane Service

200 ton Lattice Truck Crane rentals in Albuquerque, NM. Link-Belt HC-248H is a hylab series lattice boom truck crane with a 200 ton lifting capacity. The 248H is capable of having a maximum tip height of 343 feet. The 248H can move in 8 loads with max boom, max jib, and full counterweight. Crane Service offers crane rentals and crane services for the heavy rigging industry. They provide rigging equipment such as 550 ton Grove GMK-7550 hydraulic cranes and an extensive crawler fleet, including the 440 ton Manitowoc model 16000. They provide crane rentals throughout the Albuquerque metro area in New Mexico including but not limited to Albuquerque, South Valley, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, North Valley, Rio Rancho, Corrales and Bernalillo.

A crane mounted on a truck carrier provides the mobility for this type of crane. This crane has two parts: the carrier, often referred to as the Lower, and the lifting component which includes the boom, referred to as the Upper. These are mated together through a turntable allowing the upper to swing from side to side. These modern hydraulic truck cranes are usually single-engine machines, with the same engine powering the undercarriage and the crane. the upper is usually powered via hydraulics run through the turntable from the pump mounted on the lower. In older model designs of hydraulic truck cranes there were 2 engines. One in the lower pulled the crane down the road and ran a hydraulic pump for the outriggers and jacks. The one in the upper ran the upper through a hydraulic pump of its own. Many older operaters favor the 2 engine system due to leaking seals in the turntable of aging newer design cranes.

The Link-Belt HC-248 Conventional Truck Crane has a capacity of 200 tons and a maximum tube boom length of 280 feet, and maximum tip height of 343 feet. It has a four-axle 8x4X4 drive configuration, and features full floating walking beam support to maintain traction and mobility on uneven roads, as well as a HYLAB hydraulic system.
